I’m Scotty Reifsnyder, a Pennsylvania-based illustrator and designer who fell in love with illustration and design after discovering the work of iconic designer Saul Bass. I’ve been sketching poster designs ever since. Currently, I’m working on my own children’s book set in Puerto Rico, where my mom is from, entitled Lola & Valiente, about an autistic girl and her best friend, a 1,000 lb bull. I earned an MFA in Graphic & Interactive Design from the Tyler School of Art, where I learned to balance concept, craft, and curiosity.
Before launching my independent practice, I worked as a designer at the award-winning Philadelphia studio Headcase Design. Alongside my studio work, I teach in the Art + Design Department at West Chester University of Pennsylvania and have previously taught at the University of Pennsylvania and Tyler School of Art.
